St George’s Reunion – Classes of 2005 & 2015
On Saturday, the school was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt reconnections as we welcomed back our Old Girls from the Classes of 2005 and 2015 for their 20th and 10th reunions respectively. The atmosphere was buzzing from the moment our guests arrived. Spirits were high, and the sound of excited chatter and giggles echoed around the St George’s Centre.
After a warm welcome and refreshments, our visitors were treated to a tour of the school, expertly led by our wonderful senior girls. Their enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience truly special, and everyone was so grateful for their help.
Pre-lunch bubbles added a celebratory sparkle to the day, followed by a short and welcoming speech from our Head, Carol Chandler-Thompson. Her words set the tone for a relaxed and joyful afternoon. The buffet lunch was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all.
Throughout the day, memories from the past were shared, stories retold, and laughter rang out. Old friends caught up on the journeys and paths they’ve taken since leaving St George’s. The Archives table was a particular favourite, drawing a crowd eager to pore over Chronicles, Year Books, photos, and drama programmes from their time at school. It was a nostalgic treasure trove that sparked many fond recollections.
We were delighted to welcome some former teachers, whose presence was warmly received and added another layer of connection to the day. And in a heartwarming first, we had our youngest ever attendee, a baby girl whose mum is an alumna. We hope she’ll follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a St George’s girl herself one day!
