St George's Launches Community Art Programme

St George's ART SPARK invites local girls to explore creativity through free art workshops throughout May.

For generations of our Old Girls, the art room was more than just a classroom—it was a sanctuary of creativity, self-expression, and transformative learning. This May, we're rekindling that spirit with ART SPARK, a new community art programme that extends our commitment to inspiring young artists.

Many of you will remember those pivotal moments in the art rooms—perhaps perfecting your watercolour techniques, or the way you may have been encouraged you to see the world through a different lens. ART SPARK continues this tradition, inviting local girls in P5, P6, and P7 to discover the same magic that once ignited your own creative journeys.

Running every Friday from 1-3pm throughout May 2025, these free workshops offer more than just instruction. They provide a supportive environment where young girls can experiment, learn, and grow—continuing the St G's legacy of nurturing artistic potential.

These sessions aren't just about making art—they're about making possibilities. If you have a daughter or granddaughter not currently attending St George's who is in P5, P6, or P7, we would encourage you to book a space for her and join us during what promises to be an inspiring creative session!
