We are seeking an inspirational leader to chair our governing body, the School Council, and to guide St George’s as we move towards the school’s 140th birthday in 2028.

We are seeking an inspirational leader to chair our governing body, the School Council, and to guide St George’s into an exciting future. As the next Chair, you will lead a team of council members making up the School Council in ensuring St George’s continues to thrive for generations of girls to come.

Our alumnae have a unique and invaluable perspective of St George’s, and we welcome applications for this role from our talented pool of former pupils.

We are looking for an experienced and personable education professional with an understanding of the independent school sector.  The ideal candidate to assume the Chair position, will have strategic chairing skills, contextual awareness and knowledge of the political background within the educational landscape.

We invite you to get involved and to join our current excellent School Council and staff team in the important work of guiding the school as we move towards the school’s 140th birthday in 2028.
