RESIDENT BOARDING ASSISTANT

Full Time/Term Time+Permanent –applications from candidates wishing a short term (minimum 12 months) contract will be considered.

Salary: £10 per hour

Remuneration: plus a package which includes free accommodation throughout term-time*,along with amenitie scovered (excluding personal telephone calls)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual to join our boarding team, which has responsibility for up to 50 boarders aged 10-18. Applications are welcome from anyone who wishes to gain experience in a school and/or a boarding house by joining a vibrant team in a close-knit and supportive community which is committed to the education of girls.

The successful applicant will be asked to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a worker in a residential school care accommodation service within 6 months of appointment if not already professionally registered.

* While the accommodation is available free throughout term-time, it is also available throughout the year to the postholder with a small percentage contribution during non-term time.

Due to the nature of the role,(Provision of services to young females), this role is exempt as a GenuineOccupational Requirement  (GOR) under Schedule 9 of TheEquality Act (2010 ) and is therefore restricted to female only applicant.
