There was a wonderful atmosphere of friendship and nostalgia as members of the Classes of 2006 and 2016 returned to St George's for their reunion celebration.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity for former classmates to reconnect, reminisce and share memories in the place where they spent so many formative years. For many, it was the first time they had seen each other in years, yet conversations and laughter quickly flowed as old friendships were rekindled.

Guests enjoyed a tour of the school, during which they reflected on favourite teachers, memorable moments and the inevitable stories of school-day antics. It was fascinating to see how much the school has evolved while still retaining the spirit and character that makes St George's so special.

Following the tour, Headmistress Mrs Chandler-Thompson warmly welcomed everyone back before guests took their seats for a delicious lunch. One topic of conversation was the school's legendary sponge pudding, a favourite among generations of pupils. While the original may not have featured on the menu, guests were delighted to discover Sticky Toffee Pudding being served, which was met with great enthusiasm.

The Class of 2006 also continued a much-loved tradition that has become synonymous with their reunions. Eleven former pupils came together to recreate the same human pyramid they had formed on their last day of school. Having repeated the feat at their 10-year reunion, and reportedly at several St George's weddings over the years, they certainly did not disappoint and provided one of the standout moments of the day.

A great day was had by all, with plenty of laughter, cherished memories and lots of photographs taken to capture the occasion. It was a joy to welcome the Classes of 2006 and 2016 back to St George's, and we look forward to seeing them again at future alumnae events
