Head Girl's Initiative Raises £10,000 for Local Charity

St George's Head Girl spearheads successful charity drive, raising £10,000 for local homeless. Alumnae celebrate as school continues tradition of community impact.

This year's Head Girl, Lexi, championed a cause close to her heart, resulting in a significant donation to Soul Food Edinburgh, a charity tackling homelessness and food insecurity in our city.

Lexi's proposal to make Soul Food the beneficiary of this year's Spring Ball fundraiser was a resounding success. The event, attended by alumnae, parents, and friends of the school, raised over £10,000 through donations, an auction, and a raffle.

It's fantastic to see current students like Lexi continuing the St George's tradition of community engagement.

The school plans to deepen its involvement with Soul Food by hosting meals for the charity's members, with pupils serving and the school's caterer. Thomas Franks, donating food.

As alumnae, we're encouraged to see our school values of charitable giving and community service still thriving. The Foundation invites all former pupils to consider supporting Soul Food Edinburgh and to stay engaged with the school's ongoing charitable initiatives.
