Closing the Computing Gender Gap: A Call to Action

In The Times of Tuesday 2 January 2024, Carol Chandler-Thompson, Head of St Georges, writes The Thunderer, the very special opinion column next to the leading articles. You can read the article here "Lack of Women in Computing: Head's Feature Article and Women in Computing Event, 9 January"

She addresses very cogently the lack of women in computing. Congratulations to Carol on her splendid arguments, with which we shall all doubtless agree. It is great to see that on 9 January, St George's will be welcoming girls from Edinburgh's local authority and independent primary schools, to show them career paths in computing.
