A Message from the Foundation Office
We hope that many of you will be able to enjoy some long-awaited reconnections with family and friends this weekend. Hopefully the good weather will continue so we can have our outdoor gatherings in comfort!
We appreciate that official advice is still to stay home as much as possible, so hopefully the array of online services for delivering food, entertainment, DIY equipment and other goods and services will help achieve that.
Here's a reminder of some useful online resources:
1. Activities:
What's on in Edinburgh - loads of information and ideas on availability of activities, eating and drinking, attractions, etc. The link here is to Edinburgh but google What's On + city and you will find local information for many towns and cities worldwide.
2. Education & Wellbeing:
BBC Bitesize - a new set of resources for parents, aimed at supporting children of all ages.
NHS Mental Health Helplines - support and expert advice if you're concerned about yourself or a loved one.
Yoga with Adriene - a range of online classes, from beginner to advanced, from 7 minutes to an hour.3. Cooking:Maybe you never want to see another piece of banana bread again? Reminders:
- The OGA AGM has been rescheduled to Thursday 4th June at 6.30pm and will take place online. Please email the Foundation Office by 5pm on Tuesday 2nd June if you'd like to attend.
- The OGA Summer Lunch (was scheduled for Saturday 6th June) has been postponed. We will rearrange when it is safe to do so.
- Please remember also that we have offers of help from among the Community - if anybody needs assistance with shopping etc, please get in touch and we can try to link you up.
