Week 4 ideas & activities

1.  Food & Cooking
Even though the 'panic buying' has abated and supplies are generally available, we are all being encouraged to limit external activities, and some of us are being advised to stay at home.  With this in mind, below are some ideas for home delivery services that you might like to look into:

IJ Mellis Cheesemongers - online orders for delivery
http://www.mellischeese.net/buy/
Armstrong's of Stockbridge Fishmongers - free next day home delivery for order over £6
http://armstrongsofstockbridge.co.uk
Campbell Brothers - home delivery of meat & produce boxes.  Facebook page has up to date details of contents
http://www.facebook.com/campbellbrothersscotland
Charles Stamper Fruit & Veg - home delivery of fruit & veg boxes, now including wider variety, eg bread, eggs, cheese, milk & other store cupboard essentials.
http://www.charlesstamper.online/
Six by Nico - home delivery of 4 course meal for 4 people, approx £80 including 1 bottle of wine. 100 available per week. Menu changes weekly - so far Beef Wellington, Truffle Chicken, Catalan.

Please share any of your recipe ideas - I think we're all looking for some inspiration to mix things up a little!  Meanwhile, here is Jamie Oliver's quick and easy fish pie that doesn't need too many ingredients.

2.  Activities & Entertainment
We'd love to hear about how you've been keeping yourselves occupied.  Perhaps you have some family favourite made up games?  Here are a couple of simple alphabet games you might like to try:
  • Pick 2 letters of the alphabet at random and try to name as many famous people as possible with these initials.  You can do them in either order, for example:  J and T - you could have John Terry, Tom Jones, etc.

  • Pick a random celebrity, then use the last letter of their name for the first name of the next person, and so on.  For example:  Marilyn Monroe, Elton John, Neil Armstrong, Gary Lineker, Rory McIlroy, Yaya Toure.....and so on.
Play as a family - write down as many as you can in 60 seconds.
Please send us details of any of the games you have been playing - inside or garden games!

3.  Get Creative
If you've been unleashing your creative talents, please share this with us - any photography, painting, knitting etc.  If you have any Rainbow pictures or pavement art, we can share this to our gallery for everyone to enjoy.

We hope to hear from you with some ideas to share with the Community.
Please remember we have offers of help from among the Community - if anybody needs assistance with shopping etc, please get in touch and we can try to link you up.
With all best wishes from the St George's Foundation Office.
